I think this is a good cutter for the money it really depends on what you are doing and how precise you want to be I only took .025†at a time because I did not buy any replacement inserts for it and then did a couple of.010†cuts and you can see the finish was not too bad I did not even look to see about runout on this

At this price: WOW...haven't cut with it yet but it looked like a very good R8 cutter. Haven't chucked it into a spindle and checked it with an indicator but it looked like an "incredible" tooling product. Looked like excellent machining and grinding on the finished surfaces...well packaged. Must be an introductory marketing test otherwise it is an exceptional value.

I had to make a finish cut on a vblock for class today to improve my perpendicularity one one side. I decided to use my new face mill instead of one of the school ones. It did a great job with a beautiful finish shine!

Good news is the correct inserts were shipped and fit great. The head itself is super nice, seems very high quality. Also fit on the spindle perfectly.Bad news, the drawbar threads in the R8 spindle are drilled off center. The drawbar catches about 2 threads then locks up solidly. The drawbar is perfect and I use it all the time on everything. Only conclusion is they were drilled off-center.As usuall Amazon is most excellant and sending me another in exchange. Will update the results. Fingers crossed as I really want this to work.

Does really well, with no complaints or issues so far. I've ran .15" on steel at 15 ipm and it performed really well.

Missing parts, the arbor is oversized and the seller doesnt support the product. After i turned the arbor down to fit the shell mill, i started to assemble it and noticed the shorted me an insert clamp and insert clamp screw. They wont semd those parts, they want me to exchange it for another one. If they have no QA and their packing line isnt paying attention, why would i want to gamble with another one from them. I should have expected it, knowing where these parts came from.
