Excellent design, easy to use and beautifully constructed. So satisfying to grind. I wish there was a better tutorial tho because it was quite the learning curve, I had to scour Reddit threads lol. But I would buy it again next time I need a grinder

Feels great. Simple instructions. Fast shipping. The foam packaging fit perfectly in my drawer. Good coffee from freshly ground beans! Perfect. I had wanted a P1 but needed a new grinder while I'm moving and I'm not sorry to have gone to the K1.Update: after using this for several months I'll report that the results are consistent, the grinding is easy and satisfying and it grinds completely - no stray bits. The machining is wonderful and it's a pleasure to use. Strangely satisfying to assemble the pieces every day.

First of all, it works very well. I bought the one-cup size, so I can't say anything about the larger versions. The body of the grinder is very sturdy and the parts fit together precisely. There were two reasons I didn't give it five stars. One is that it's difficult to hold the grinder upright while turning the crank. I suppose a wider base would help. The other is that the grinder comes with two small white O-rings but the instructions are not clear about what to do with them. I eventually figured out that the O-ring is for keeping the handle and the lid together. Put the tip of the handle through the lid, turn it upside down, and slip the O-ring onto the part of the handle that goes through the lid. These minor issues in no way detract from the performance of the grinder. I would not hesitate to buy another one of them. P.S. Freshly ground coffee brewed in a French Press tastes really good.

Nice looking, solidly built for long term use. Great coffee. I use it with a drill when I do not feel like hand cranking. There is a bit of AMSR effect in hand grinding the coffee with this.

I purchased this because I came from a cheap wooden (antique-looking) hand grinder that took forever and gave me hand-cramps. This advertises that it can be used with a power drill. I have a 12v electric impact drill. The part you would attach a drill is the exact same size as my bit holder/extender on the impact. So that was perfect. I used it with the impact drill a few times and found that it doesn't run slow enough to not spit the beans back up/toss them around, and therefor took much longer than expected. I eventually tried using the handle. It was comfortable and much quicker than my experience with my prior cheap grinder. I timed it. 29.5 seconds to grind a full batch which is perfect for me to brew two french presses (sorry, I'm not grinding fine for espresso). It also did not fatigue or otherwise cramp my hand. I went back to the electric drill (impact grinder) I have and timed that at 44 seconds. If you have an electric drill with fine speed controls (remember you do not want high speed), then maybe you can match or beat your time with the hand-crank. However, now that I have been using this, the idea of attaching an electric drill seems like a gimmick. My routine in the morning would be to start boiling water. Start a blender for a smoothie. And hand grind my coffee. My blender has a timer that is about 1:15 to blend a single-serve smoothie. I can easily start boiling water, grab all the ingredients for said smoothie, and start blending. Then I would measure out my coffee, grind that, and the blender still has some time left. I drink said smoothie, the water finishes boiling at about that time, and the fresh grounds are already in the french press. Waking up doesn't get much simpler and streamlined than that. If I had an espresso machine, I can imagine the time on hand-grinding to be at least twice as much, and then I might appreciate a dedicated machine to do the grinding. However this does grind very consistently. My old grinder would leave much fine grinds that would end up in my coffee mug. This one leaves far less by comparison. To get an electric machine that would be just as precise as this manual one, you'd need to spend at least 3x as much. Again, maybe if you have a nicer electric drill with good speed control, it would be perfect. However the idea of using a drill seems wasted if it can't do it faster than the hand-crank and the hand crank is comfortable to use, and the fact that even if you did use a drill, you'd still need to hold the device and the drill until it was finished - unlike a dedicated electric grinder that you can step away from while it grinds.

Wish I had made the plunge long ago. This is a well-made grinder. Feels pleasant in my hand with the rubberized grip. I normally make drip or French press grind. I believe it work well with a fine grind. Range of available settings is huge.

First, note that I bought this with own money at price of around 44 bucks, so it's not a "review of a free product" (not that those can't also be impartial)For that price, I got a remarkably well built, solid, and well machined grinder. I've put it through its paces, using it for espresso in both my Gaggia and Flair manual espresso machines, and have been suitably pleasedThe hand cranking is efficient, fast, and even, and I actually quite enjoy the cranking. Not onerous. Doesn't slip in the hand. Easy to clean. And easy to change grind coarseness with a large number of grind notches to choose fromI recommend it overall. Definitely the best grinder in this price range, among both manual and (by a long shot) electricEDIT: After six months of near daily use, still going strong! No deep cleaning needed, as would be with electric grinder, though I suppose sticking brush in there (included, maybe, I don't remember) couldn't hurt
