DO NOT BUY 2nd time ordering this product and 3rd time (2 came in 2nd order) the temperature was not as advertised it was 195° to 185°, 195° to 190°, 200° to 185°,and I ordered a 185° 175° ALL bad units were stenciled 185 175 on the side but neither of them are what they clame. I would avoid any product that looks like this one on Amazon they are all made by the same company.

The temperature at which this switch comes on to turn the fan is completely inconsistent and random. The spec says it comes on at 185F but in real operation it comes anywhere between 195 F to 210 F. This was verified with an infrared thermometer (and the car gauge as well). It has caused over-heating in my car and totally unreliable. Quite alarming to install one of those and risk overheating and destroy your cylinder head.

I wired up my electric fans and tested the system manually by putting the trigger wire to ground. Then I started the car with the temp sensor hooked up, I noticed the fans didn't kick on when they were supposed to so I immediately checked the sensor. When I went to unplug the lead to check the connection, the prong on the temp sensor tried to come out with it. Upon further inspection, I saw the epoxy used to make the switch had completely disintegrated. It only saw about 195 degrees, terrible quality switch.
