Bought from Amazon without seeing one in person. Switch detents are clunky. Hard to push & has a cheap plastic feel. Also, when you turn on the fan, the first level is actually high, then medium, then low. However the switch is numbered 1-2-3 and should be 3-2-1 with 3 being high

It would be nice if they match the standard white color of other switches. This is much closer to gray than it is white. On its own you probably would not notice, but we have it in a two outlet box.

This was my second dual fan switch order. The first was a Lutron and while I liked the looks and funtionality (on/off switch with a continuously variable slider) it was incredibly noisy with major hum!! So this is my second order and luckily it is dead quiet. Not 5 stars because the switch operated very stiffly and clunkily.

I have a pair of Hampton Bay ceiling fans which each have a pull chain to control their speed.1) Unlike the Lutron Skylark SFS-5E controller for up to 5 fans, the fans and the switch are dead quiet on all settings. The Lutron produced a raucous hum from both fans at low to medium speeds, with a faint hum even at the maximum speed setting.2) The low and medium speeds are just what you would expect. I tried the 5-fan version of this controller (because that one was white in the photo and there were numerous complaints that this 2-fan version was grey), and the low speed setting ran the fans faster than what I thought a medium setting should be. Clearly the number of fans the switch is designed for should match the number of fans you want to connect to it. It's not just a maximum rating.3) The switch is WHITE! It looks like Fanimation fixed the color. Both the switch and the trim plate are a white color that matches standard switches and trim plates.4) I was hesitant to try these because the Fanimation agent I corresponded with stated that I should only use these controllers for Fanimation fans. I suspected that was a legal CYA because all ceiling fans with pull chains to control their speed work the same way, and indeed as mentioned this controller works perfectly with my Hampton Bay fans.Two minor cons:1) The supplied screws have heads that, combined with the extra thick "ears" of the controller case, are too tall to fit cleanly under a standard faceplate. The faceplate will fit if you substitute standard button-head electrical switch mounting screws.2) the rounded corners of the enclosure are a little sharper than a standard decorator switch or the hole in a decorator faceplate. That makes it a tight fit, but it will fit into the faceplate hole if you press firmly.
