My husband was very excited to receive these for Father's Day. About one week after he had them on his truck, he noticed they were very loose and were basically "flapping in the breeze" as he drove down the highway. He took them off and I looked at them and realized that the elastic was completely stretched out. We had a lady from our church who is a seamstress take them apart to replace the elastic. She showed us the original elastic. It was no thicker than embroidery floss and was completely yellowed and dry-rotted. She said there was no telling how old that elastic was and that it should have never been used on an item like this. Thanks to her, not the manufacturer, the mirror covers are now snug on the mirrors like they should be. They are fine now, but we shouldn't have had to practically remake them after having them only a week.
