There is something so satisfying about beautiful china and ever since I discovered the Tea For One motiff it's a rare little self indulgence I allow myself. I prefer my sets with a saucer, it seems a more formal and better proportional balance for the cup and teapot. I especially enjoy the more intricate glazed decal designs, as exemplified in this little set. It's the only one elegant green one I've ever seen. It is well crafted, feels great in hand and makes tea or coffee into a lovely occasion whether alone or with company. I wash these by hand because they usually have some gold in the design which doesn't hold up well in the dishwasher. I think the price is quite reasonable and I can have a lovely china variation every day. Simple pleasures!

I don't think the pot and cup look much alike which isn't so appropriate for a SET. The pot has one centered image per side while the cup has an overall pattern of large flowers. I like blue and pink together but don't think the colors are well integrated either. I'll still enjoy tea for one from this charming little set, but I do think the artwork could be improved.
