I waited until we got a good rainfall. We graded our hill earlier in the year. After I installed the erosion control blanket no rain. So, I held off this review until we got a good soaking. The blanket keeps the rain from hitting the bare dirt, result, no erosion so far. I spread winter Rye seeds over the blanket. The rain pushed the seed dow and now we have a green carpet with rye grass rooting in the ground to prevent erosion. I was happy to see that the blanket allowed the seed to sprout and not wash away.

Pretty good!Hoped for a little more straw. When the mat is stretched the straw is light.

This is the worst product I have ever used. As soon as I rolled it out the hay was coming off. Once the wind came (even though it was secured) ALL of the hay blew everywhere in our yard and neighboring yards leaving just the netting and a complete mess to clean up.

Easy to unroll and good coverage. I recently had a patio put in and the trucks caused some soft spots in the yard. This product works great and covered really well

We were re-seeding our yard and needed something to prevent the birds from eating the seed, provide for something that will hold in the moisture and allow for the grass to germinate. E had seeds growing with 10 days. We used several blankets across our entire yard and it looked like a sea of straw. However, it didn’t look messy-it was very easy to roll out and the roll covered a lot of area!!! I would highly recommend this product for all your landscaping needs.

Easy to unroll and spread over areas. Seems sturdy. Not a solid mat but that is good because let the breeze come up through it without lifting the mat. And still offers good coverage. The 2 ft wide roll was easy for me to handle and also to cover some odd spots where I seeded

The width is very consistent. It was packaged well and was easy to roll out and adjust but the matting was uneven. A lot of it was just the bare string mesh without straw. Would be perfect if the straw was evenly distributed across the mesh. Still better than nothing.

Nice size roll for a reasonable price. Quick shipping and packaged well. Used this to cover a muddy dog yard when landscaping contractors didn't show up before winter. My dogs were tracking in mud and leaves non-stop after rain and snow. I put a leaf layer down, then this cover. The ground was already freezing, so challenging to secure it, but the mesh would normally would be held down easily with landscaping spikes. The straw layer is pretty thin, so had to double up in some spots. Will work great in spring for seeding. Happy to find this for a quick fix for muddy yard.
