Returned rail because walls of bore were too thin to safely cut threads in rail ends.

There is not enough wall thickness. Going in the trash and ordering another from ross machine. Waste of money here.

Why a bad review on a fuel rail? They're pretty basic... You buy the right length, have your machine shop bore the holes where you need them and tap the ends for pipe fittings. There is the problem for me. The ID is about .020" smaller than recommended tap drill size for 1/2" NPT. I decided to grab a brand new tap and let it do the work anyway and truthfully, it came out OK. I'm now going to install an NPT bushing to get it down to 3/8" NPT and should be fine, but you can't run the tap deep enough to have a pipe fitting sit reasonably flush with the end of the rail due to the undersizing. If you try to drill it out, your tap will be cutting through the outside of the rail because the material is very thin.In a perfect world, they would redesign it to be about a 3/8" NPT tap size ID with lots of extra meat on the outside diameter of the rail. My pre-fab Edelbrock rails are made like this and I prefer it.
