FINALLY a fountain that has ZERO pump sound and a beautiful trickle sound. I had bought and RETURNED a MUCH more expensive fountain just a week ago that splashed everywhere and had the most obnoxious pump buzz. Secret to this one is like Goldie Locks. Perfect balance of water which is easily done.

I love little desktop fountains and have a few around my house in various spots on shelves and on my bookcase.This one is super cute with its little fake log on top and 5-tier cascade - but it is pretty quiet.If lots of water sound is your preference, you might look at a different one.This one makes a soft trickle sound, easily quiet enough to be in an office where phone calls are made.The base is a separate plastic rectangle but its textured nicely to match and looks classy enough.It holds a decent amount of water, I get about 3-4 days of constant running before I need to fill it up.The light and switch are nice and look good enough, I'd prefer a more warm white than the bright white light, so maybe I'd dock a half star for that, but it's a good value fountain with quality construction and finish.If you like how it looks I highly recommend it.

Great that it has on/off switch.......5 tier formation is different & nice....Led in bottom tier looks good as water hits it.....motor is quiet at any flow setting.....Absolutely NO water sound is heard !!!!!!!!!!On initial ON , there is a slight splash from top tier ,when on High setting..." Med " seems to be the best. Too low setting , pump is hard to prime. Adequate table fountain....... UPDATE : a little D.I.Y. ......front corners fill up with water sometimes - drilled 1/4 holes in all support corners - @1 1/2 from bottom.......My problem with No sound ..I had too much water in base.....just enough water to cover pump !!!!!!!

The instructions were not clear and it was frustrating to put together. It was a gift for my son and he was disappointed the sound of the water was not louder.

I love how this fountain looks and I like to watch it every once in a while. It is not really loud like some of them I've had in the past. It's like a light trickle and sounds relaxing. The light at the bottom is a cute effect but doesn't make a huge difference. It looks like rock but it is actually plastic. I put it at first outside but bugs got in it and I didn't want to mess up the pump so I took it back inside. It looks beautiful.

I got this for Father's Day to dress up my home office. It's a nice size and the pump offers really good water flow. The resin is well-made and looks good. The base holds plenty of water to keep it running for a long time without topping up. I took a star off for two reasons. One, the resin piece had some sort of coating on it from manufacturing that I didn't see until it started pumping water, leaving a coating floating in the water. I was able to wash it free. Secondly, the tube that you attached to the pump isn't long enough to allow you to attached it to the pump AND still reach inside and attach the pump to the base via its suction feet. So, you have to leave the pump kind of dangling and then jiggle the power cord around until you get it positioned properly to pump water.
