There are two options for fixing the drip of this faucet. This repair kit from Danco and a Delta repair kit RP44123, which you can get from Delta as part of their limited lifetime warranty. The differences are, the Delta kit has you remove the chrome cap (see pictures) requiring a 12 inch crescent wrench. BE SURE, if you are right handed, and have a mirror in back to the faucet, you put the wrench on so you are pulling toward you, so it won’t hit the mirror, when loosening the chrome bonnet. The Danco kit has a tool to remove the brass insert from the bonnet, keeping it mounted to the faucet. The old rubber covers on the springs and the springs were worn and almost flush with the holes in the base of the faucet, causing the leak. The new springs and rubber caps sit about 1.5 mm above the holes. Clean all parts with vinegar before reassembly. Use a light coating of lithium grease on the ball. I reused the old faucet chrome cover that holds the ball and nylon circular piece in place. The most difficult part was being able to push the bonnet down, since the new springs were now supplying some resistance, and keeping the nylon center piece aligned ( it has a vertical part that fits a slot in the faucet), so I could catch the threads to attach the chrome bonnet to the faucet body. The Danco kit also includes o-rings for the lower part of the faucet. I didn’t dissemble that much to replace them. I used the metal ball that was from the old faucet because after cleaning the mineral deposits, it looked just as good as the one from the Delta kit. If you have a dripping Delta facet from the spout, contact Delta first as their RP44123 faucet kit has what you need. If you want to use this Danco kit, the replacement is done buy using the included tool to loosen the brass collar from the bonnet, keeping the chrome bonnet as I show in the pictures, mounted to the faucet. I hope this narrative explains some of the unanswered questions that aren’t apparent in the UTUBE videos.

25 year old delta faucet started leaking. Bought this item. Seat springs too tall, had to use originals. Faucet creeked and didn’t move smooth, even after using plumbers grease.Called Delta, they offer free lifetime replacement parts.I installed these and the faucet is better than new.

The repair kit included all necessary parts to get the leaking stopped and the faucet returned to full functionality. Instructions were not included. Previous experience with accomplishing such repairs makes getting along pretty easy. If a person is not handy with such things it could prove a problem.
