Works perfectly on my 2014 Silverado 5.3! The annoying clunking noise when the engine switched from V4 to V8 is gone, and the random shuddering at stoplights has disappeared. My gas mileage when down slightly, but honestly, I’d rather pay a little more in gas than to have a lifter job done on it Feels like the power is back to normal. For $40 you can’t beat it — great product!

I installed the AFM disabler in my Pontiac GTP. It was a simple plug and play as advertised. It also did the job of clearing the check engine light, which was a nice added bonus. It definitely smoothed out the idle, making the car feel more stable. As for power, it’s feels a bit sluggish if anything. Nothing crazy, but it does feel like it takes away a little bit of the punch, which defeats the purpose in a way. However, this could be something with the learning system in the car. Overall, it makes for a smoother ride, though. I’ll update if anything changes down the road.

As usual this Fazil AFM disabler was super easy to install. It is just a plug and go system so there is not much to it. A noticeable difference was in the performance of my car was immediate. It ended the shudder I had been dealing with. I would say this is definitely worth trying.

It's hard to find anything to knock this device for, as the build quality is good and functionality is exactly what they say. I have a 2014 Silverado and have grown to hate the clunk when cruising and the active fuel management kicks in. Yes, it's a picky little thing and most people would complain that now I'm giving up the small fuel savings, but I do much less highway driving that I used to and that is where AFM shines. Installation was mindless: simply plug into your vehicle's ODB port, start the vehicle, and go about your business. The one thing I would mention (and pardon me for not using the correct terminology) but when you first start driving you might think it's shifting harder, but that is because your shift points have been reset to factory settings. This is the same thing that happens if you disconnect or replace your battery. The way I understand it, the vehicle's computer learns by making subtle adjustments as you drive to optimize for smoother shifting. Don't let this scare you away because 1) most people won't even notice the difference and 2) this what the computer is supposed to do. My advice would be to just drive normally for the first day or so after installing and you'll be good to go.

This works great. My truck feels like it has full power now it’s easy to install just plugs right into the obd2 port. Before with the v4 mode it made the truck feel weak but not anymore. V4 tov8 is bad on motor I got this because I had to get a new engine because my lifter dropped because of the afm. I’d recommend buying this before it happens to yours

Packaging was crushed, no instructions, nothing. Just the device sitting in the box. No branding, no paperwork, no customer support contact—just plug it in and hope for the best.I’m not real keen on sticking something like this into my Sierra’s OBD-II port without knowing more. No way to verify what it’s actually doing, and without a manual, there’s no troubleshooting if something goes sideways. Maybe it works, maybe it doesn’t, but the lack of info doesn’t inspire confidence. For the price, I’d expect at least a basic guide or some kind of reassurance. Just doesn’t feel like a risk worth taking.
