I recently purchased this cart and, after assembly, felt immediately obligated to write a review. This is a very well-designed product - especially given the price! It clearly represents a step in evolution of the kayak cart.I already have two kayak carts that have heavy rubber tires, almost always going flat, that are too big and cumbersome to carry in my kayaks.I need a lightweight, durable cart, with lightweight, non-inflatable tires, that can be easily carried in my boat. This new, reasonably-priced cart design readily meets all these requirements.I no longer have to roll kayak and gear down to the launch site, then leave all unattended while I run my cart back to the car. I can inflate my SeaEagle Razorlite by the car, using 12 volt power, then make one trip down to the launch site.I do want to add, however, that this cart will easily handle a heavy-weight kayak as well as any more-expensive, heavy-weight cart.Assembly was easy, requiring connecting up the axle assembly. Fittings are well-engineered and tight. It helps to lightly tap the tube connections, one way or the other, to line-up the openings for the screws. All hardware was high-quality, non-corroding metals and the wheels are a lightweight, high-impact plastic.Almost every location I've carted a kayak has been natural terrain or decking/docks - very little concrete hard surface. I expect there would be more vibration with these wheels, pulling a kayak over a hard- paved surface. I just see no significant trade-off - especially given the light- weight, easy break-down, transportability of this durable cart.A decent little ratchet-strap is supplied with the cart. Being used to using bungee cords to connect boat and cart, I ordered these for my kit:I am glad I made this purchase, as it solidly meets my kayak-transporting/portage needs.

The cart is very well made. For the price point, I was very suprised at the quality. All you have to do is install the axle and wheels to the unit. It doesn't come with any instructions other than the diagram on the box, but is very basic. The wheels are large and very heavy duty, they are comparable to my name brand cart, good for sand and rocks. This one is very light and folds down with spring loaded detents, so it can be collapsed in seconds. The wheels can be removed if needed, they have a spring pin that keeps them secure but is easily removed. The cart pipe is aluminum so it shouldn't rust. It feels very solid but still light weight. It comes with a strap to secure it to the kayak. After several uses I have found a couple of minor things that can be easily remedied. The green silicone pads move around once wet, I slid them back and put a drop of silicone adhesive/sealant under each one to keep it in place. The screws for the spring loaded locks have a nut cap on the end. They are only finger tight, it's possible they could loosen over time so I removed them and put a drop of blue, removable thread locker on them. You need to be sure to measure the spring before removing the nut and screw it back on the same distance. If you overtighten the nut it won't pivot anymore, too loose it won't hold in position.

No instructions except some photos on box. Holes did not align and could not be drilled. Took hours to put together but couldn’t get all bolts in the axle. It’ll do but quality control really sucked on this one.

I found it very easy to put together, and to get into position under my 16 foot canoe. It works so well if you get it balanced right that my 81 year old mother had no problem moving my canoe around. I am extremely happy with the ease of use

Initially we thought this was great product lifting kayak high with easy mount on hard surfaces but then it collapsed in soft sand. We were very disappointed on our first trip out and us senior citizens had to carry the kayak downhill to the river shore and back! Gotta buy a more universal cart now.

Cart is easy to assemble and use. I ended up using a few bungees to hold my kayak on, mainly because I was using it on a rough trail while duck hunting.

Tried a field and stream kayak and a pelican neither one stays on trolley We have tried different ways of attaching the strap to trolley and nothing has helped
