Fortunately, it arrived unbroken in spite of NO padding in the larger shipping box.(bulb is in a small thin cardboard box). Any light bulbs really should be shipped with SOME kind of padding!The light output is more white than yellow (good).This 9w bulb seems nearly as bright as the 13w bulb it is replacing, but that's a subjective opinion; I don't have any light meters.Would buy again if needed.

BUT the specs listed (and the box I received) specify 4,100 K. As you can see in the picture, that is not cool white.Since there are not that many options and it is a good value, I give full stars. (Also because while "cool light" might be misleading, the Kelvin rating IS being given.)
