These are good head gaskets, I usually get the severe duty gaskets but I don't plan on keeping this truck very long. I have used Fel-Pro head gaskets many times and never had an issue. They do their job and seal very well. I got these for my 98 K1500 with the 5.7 vortec, they are sold individually not as a pair. They don't have a specific side that has to be up so the same gasket works on either side of the engine. They also don't need any additional sealant like some of the import inline engines do.

Well, it's holding up still in my daily driver which I drive on average about 40 to 50 miles a day during the week so can't complain there. Fel-pro hasn't disappointed yet. I have several of their gaskets on my truck with no issues and it is the dreaded 5.7 vortec which seems to be immensely popular yet plagued with all sorts of issues, and it's still holding up so keep up the good work making quality gaskets!

I have been using the same Fel pro head gaskets for 50 years. I know that there are all of these fancy MLS head gaskets out there now. But these ones here have come through in most extreme racing applications that I have done, anyway.
