I have used Fel-Pro religiously in the past and have never had a problem. I used my smoke machine to test for my P0171 and 4 codes. I found the largest leak was at the base of my center intake. I installed this kit, and the rough idle was fixed, but the same code still pops up. I ran the smoke test again, and the same leak, just a whole lot smaller. It may be because of the age and mileage on the truck (323750). I will update my review after taking my lower intake to a machine shop, and trying the replacement of the plastic intake if that makes a difference.

Works beautifully to eliminate my lean cylinder bank codes (P0171, P0174) due to vacuum leaks on my F150, 4.2L engine. I just wish it came with one more gasket for the idle air valve that needed removal in order to take off the upper manifold on my truck. There's a lot of cleaning up of the intake manifold internals which are coated in crud on a high mileage vehicle like mine, but this is relatively easily removed using brake cleaner. Note: it may take several cans of brake cleaner to make it ready for reassembly. Also get the Dorman 55164 Intake Manifold Isolator Bolt Kit (best price on Amazon). These bolts hold the lower plastic manifold onto the metal part of the intake and is a known leak prone area.

EXACT Fit !!! If I may suggest get gaskets for the Lower aluminum intake manifold (that's why you are running lean) as well as a pack of the little plastic clips that hold the arms of the thing on back that controls the flaps inside the manifold ... no way to replace w/o removing the bottom manifold and You DO or WILL need to replace em ... Get it Done while you are messin around
