I cleaned all gasket maker with razor blade and scotch brite pad with brake cleaner. Then I installed n torqued the bolts as per specs. No leaks after 2 months

This is a great alternative to doing the RTV silicone method of sealing a differential. Worked just fine on my ‘98 XJ Dana 30.
