Works so far. No leaks after a week. Time will tell, I did use grease during installation to prevent moving.

I recently replaced my PT Cruiser transmission fluid and filter, and I tried using this Gasket, instead of the factory use of RTV. After several weeks of driving the car, I haven't noticed any problem with fluid leaks. This replacement Gasket was much easier to deal with, than having to wait for RTV sealant to dry, and should make any future transmission pan removal much easier. As with any Gasket, the sealing surfaces must be clean and undamaged.

I haven't ordered 1 yet, but looking thru the pictures of tranny pan gaskets, this is a tranny pan gaskets, NOT an oil pan gasket.

I Used a cheap rubber gasket first. It Leaked. Too thick and squishy. This one is thinner and hard cork like. Don't Squish out when you tighten the bolts. Wish I would have gotten this one first. Would have saved me like 30 bucks in transmission fluid.

I use this with a little RTV sealant....never had a leak. High quality gasket unlike other kits.....highly recommended and worth the extra few dollars. You don't want your tranny leaking for the sake of sake of saving $10. A rebuilt transmission due to failure will easily run you $3,000-$4,000. Spend the extra $10.

Worth the money if you want to avoid problems later. No need for rtv.
