About this item

  • Specially designed bullet ends provide a perfect fit in Fender style tremolo systems.
  • Traditional ball-end string design leaves a certain ammount of "slack" which can cause string slippage. Fender Bullet strings eliminate this issue providing better tuning stability.
  • The nature of the precision-machined bullet-end design means that strings are returned to the exact same position every time the tremolo is used. This greatly improves tuning stability even after heavy tremolo use.
  • The Bullet string-end design is especially well suited for Stratocaster guitars because the bullet ends fit precisely into the tremolo block, closely fitting the circumference of the string channel, and they slipped out easily when changing strings.
  • With a larger mass and tighter fit in the tremolo cavity, Fender Super Bullet strings provide superior sound transferance.

Combine the high output and dynamic sound of steel with the smooth feel of nickel. Our signature Super Bullets are perfect strings for rock and other kinds of music requiring cutting guitar. Best of all, the patented bullet end creates a sonic coupling between the string and the bridge block, offering rock-solid tuning stability and increased sustain. Fender introduced its bullet-end electric guitar strings circa 1974 under the name “Super Bullets.” The new string-end design was especially well suited to Stratocaster guitars because the bullet ends fit far more precisely into the tremolo block, closely fitting the circumference of the string channel, and they slipped out easily when changing strings. They were available in pure nickel and nickel-plated steel versions for electric guitar and bronze-wound for acoustic guitars. Although Super Bullets electric strings could be used on many different guitars, they were especially popular with Stratocaster players. Super Bullets existed largely unchanged until the early 1990s, when Fender switched from zinc-plated steel to brass for the bullet ends. Brass had the additional advantage of imparting improved sustain. By the mid-1990s, Fender was offering pure-nickel bullet-end strings dubbed “Bullets,” nickel-plated steel bullet-end strings dubbed “Super Bullets, and bullet-end acoustic strings in bronze and phosphor bronze versions. Bullet-end stainless steel strings appeared in the late 1990s. Today, Fender continues to offer its classic bullet-end electric guitar strings in the strong, slender forms of its pure-nickel 3150 Original Bullets, which are ideal for vintage-style tone, and nickel-plated steel 3250 Super Bullets, which offer characteristic tonal power and durability.

I've been using these Super Bullets strings for years on my Stratocaster. They're unmatched when it comes to durability, sound, and tuning stability. Strat players get a bonus in the form of the bullet-shaped string-ends (the namesake of the strings themselves), which fit snug into the string chambers in the tremolo block. With the normal-style ball-end strings, removing old strings was a hassle because the ball-end would often get stuck inside the string chambers, requiring me to push them out with a toothpick or something. This is a thing of the past with the Super Bullets, which fall out with ease so you can get those strings changed quickly and get back to playing ASAP.Another bonus is for those who like to use the tremolo arm in their playing. Other strings work sometimes, but can go out of tune easier than the Bullets will. The shape of the bullet-ends allows the strings to return to their original position whilst using the trem arm every time, unlike other strings which may or may not do so, affecting your tuning stability in detrimental ways. They're great strings really, not much else to say, buy 'em!

The Silver Bullets have been around forever for a reason: They're great strings for Fender guitars, and the Silver Bullet ends are neat.

A great buy, longevity is there but didn't last as long as I liked, think it could've been I kept them stretched twenty four seven sonitncouodve been my fault. The tone they give off is great, and worked much better than the last strings i had.

Bullets are made for you Stratocaster, they give you better tuning stability, don't dig into the metal like ball ends do

I had an issue with my new Squire Guitar, and Fender hooked me up with a set of these. The String Ends have a Cylindrical or Bullet Shaped end, rather then the typical small loop. The theory is that the larger bullet end makes better contact in the tremolo cavity. I say they sound great and are worth trying. I just order 3-packs so I can have some on hand.

Es sind 6 Saiten für eine E-Gitarre, keine Bassgitarrensaiten. Aber gute Qualität

All strings are rusted and I can't even return them, what a waste of money. This is the second time is happening. Please consider removing this from your catalogue

I don't normally buy my strings via the web as I usually pick two or three packets up when I am in the nearest town or city where the music shops are, but on this occasion I found that I had run low and was unable to spare the time to go and buy some due to work commitments. I decided to use Amazon to purchase three sets due to the price being the average shop price and with free delivery, well you can't go wrong. The strings arrived well before the estimated delivery date and were as described, if I had gone to either of the nearest cities to purchase these strings there would have been transport costs, parking fees and also the time involved, so you come out winning all the way. These strings sound fabulous on both the Stratocaster and the Telecaster guitars you cannot fault the sound as they are made to complement the guitars that they were designed for. Highly recommended for any strat or tele guitar as I have used these strings for many years and although I have strayed on occasion I always come back to them as they are excellent strings with a long established history.
