Do you know the difference between plate wort chiller and the immersion wort chiller?

  • Ferroday wort chiller takes less space than a immersion chiller
  • Plate chiller chills 5 gallon hot wort in minutes, but the immersion chiller needs an hour
  • Much more effective than the immersion chiller, saving your time, water and money
  • Our 30 plate chiller is one of the fastest way that takes boiled wort down to cool at safe temp within minutes, makes brewing more faster.

What affects the chilling capability of the exchanger?

  • Numbers Of Plates: the more plates provide more chilling surface, and cool the wort quicker.
  • Water Temperature: the cooler the water is the faster the chilling will do.
  • The Flow: it is better to let the wort through the wort chiller slowly, and let the cool water through the chiller quickly.

Features:

  • Much safer and cleaner; Cools beer/wort/hot water extremely fast;
  • Easy Operation: The in and out ports for each liquid are on the same side; All ports are same size, easy connection;
  • Pump Available: Hook up a pump to recirculate the cooling water, makes your home brew goes to a whole lot faster;
  • Recommended water flow rate: 15.5 gpm, Design Temperature: -321°F to 392°F;

Package Includes: 1* wort chiller (30 plate)

I had a submersion wort chiller and it would take about 30-45 mins to cool down from boiling to ~80 degrees. With this it is a matter of minutes. I just needed to control the flow of wort and 212 degrees to 70 degrees!

This wort chiller works very well. The only downside is it will only cool the wort to the temperature of the tap water. In Texas, our tap water is very warm in the summer months.

Doesnt come with the tubing and fittings. Once you take the time to do that it is Nearly impossible to keep good flow/suction without a pump. If you have a pump just circulate ice water through a coil wart chiller... much cleaner and easier.

I'm not sure what sort of Stainless Steel this is made out of but it is one that rusts. Keeping this clean and sanitary is very difficult and as well as the corrosion I have found black mould growing inside despite regular flushing. Unfortunately I'm outside the return window otherwise I would return this item for a refund as it is not as described and way overpriced for what it is.The threads are NPT so BSP fittings tend to leak and I had a lot of trouble getting this water tight.Avoid!!!
