This was a Christmas present for my husband. He loves to build kits, and this is his first guitar.Pros: Beautifully illustrated assembly manual. Perfect placement of pre-drilled screw holes. Quality wood and parts. Outstanding customer support team, if needed. Very reasonably priced.Cons: Proper playing setup is a bit challenging if you have never owned a guitar. Luckily, there are plenty of YouTube detailed instructional videos available.Final Review: Beautiful guitar that sounds great! Highly recommended!!!!

I got the telecaster style to make a Christmas gift for my nephew. Worth the money 100%. That being said here's my experience with this kit.1. I wanted to do a green burst stain. It turned out looking nice, but not really a classic burst, as the mahogany doesn't stain so well in that way. I was really happy with how it turned out, just not a burst if that's what you are going for, find something with a maple face.2. The build quality is top notch. You can easily sand off the FESLEY on the headstock if you want to. The pickups honestly sound better than my Schechter that is a far more expensive seymour duncan setup. It really has a classic Telecaster tone. I was a little sad after I gifted the finished guitar and will probably buy one for myself.3. Only part I felt was a little cheaped out was the tuners, but if they put high end tuners in this would be a $200+ kit and probably not get to people who it needs to from a marketing standpoint, and really buying better tuners is easy enough.

Happy with the kit - I bought it for the neck and body which are great. Neck fits tightly into body with no slop and it’s perfectly straight. Body is in good shape and routing was all good. Some of the pre drilled holes didn’t line up with the pick guard I bought - but I’m sure it would have worked well with the one that came with the kit and it wasn’t a big deal. I can’t speak to the hardware since I didn’t use it but it seems fine. I recommend the kit.

With this guitar I find the playability extremely amazing, sounds great with every single genre even metal! This guitars somehow has the abilities of playing like a humbucker a lot of times. The quality you receive is beyond insane with properly leveled frets, and along with its ease of setup it took me about 30 minutes to build with a screwdriver and a wrench. Appearance wise is wow, I can’t say I’m not in love with it as I don’t use my other guitars much anymore due to this one. Don’t even get me started again on the sound quality because holy heck is it just perfection. If you need a guitar that is cheap and amazing to play, this is your calling.

Fesley has cracked the lower cost guitar market. Great guitar (tele version) great quality control, decent parts and hardware. Like most guitar players you may want to upgrade eventually but right out of the box it was great. Well worth the money!!! Really want to get the LP guitar from Fesley next --- hint hint so if you want Fesley send it my way !!!

The neck alone is nearly worth the price. Great modding platform (i only used the body, the neck, and the bridge plate from the kit). Finishes were really well done and only minor filing on a couple of fret ends. The techwood fingerboard is possibly one of my new favorites. Ive always been a rosewood/pao ferro/ebony fretboard guy and this techwood rates right up there with them so far.

Body is lacquer sealed, that has its plus or minuses. Problem if one needs to do an oil based finish. Fine for a painted one.
