The product is nicely made but my cats won't use it as intended. I'm not returning it. I figure I'll give them time to get used to it. As for now, I keep the bottle full of water and push the bead up to get them water in the bowl. It cuts down on the amount of water one of my cats splashes out of the bowl.I'm updating this review because my cats never got the hang of using it. However, I found out that the holder will work with a crate. The piece that cradles the bottle is removable and it screws onto the crate. And... it doesn't drip like so many do. Plus, the metal bowl fits one of my feeders that I bought years ago😊 I don't have any crated animals at the moment but when I do I'm ready.

I like the convenience of having a food bowl and water dispenser in one unit, but the dispenser keeps leaking water, which makes the kibbles soggy. To solve this, I ended up placing the bowl next to the unit, allowing my pet to enjoy her dry kibble. However, this defeats the purpose of having a two-in-one setup.
