Very happy with this purchase. This tank is beautiful and should work nicely with the forging press I'm building. The filler cap looks great and has a nicely fit screen filter as does the suction port. It did arrive with a couple of bends on one of the mounting plates but nothing I can't easily bend back. Now there is one thing , The suction hole is right around 2-3/8" hopefully I can find a reducer that fits . I'll update if and when I do.There has to be one. All in all of your looking for a 10gal hydraulic reservoir look no further. You won't find a better deal especially with prime shipping.Got it within 3 days of ordering (Yea Amazon !).Sorry the only ruler I could find was that clear one.Update: After a bit of research, I believe 2" NPT may fit 2-3/8" diameter holeSecond update: Bought A 2" NPT male to 1" NPT female reducer stainless steel on e-bay for $16. Thread right in.

This is a nice tank for a reasonable cost. I wish the mounting tabs would have been on the sides but worked around that for issue. Like the drain plug. Had to use a reducer and barbed 1 in plug to get the outlet to a usable size. I should also note that it was not packed well and the filler cap had a small dent.

The tank arrived looking pretty good - just some bent mounting brackets, same as other reviewers. Seems nicely built and solid.I ordered it knowing it came with a simple screen on the suction port. I wanted something better, so I ordered a larger screen that is attached to a 2" reducer (see picture). Hoping that I could replace the simple screen with it. But it doesn't fit, unless I grid out the lip that holds the screen in place (which I can do, but cleaning out the grindings will be difficult).Would give 5 stars if it came with a better suction port screen.Update: I was able to use a die-grinder and carbide burr to remove the lip holding the suction screen, and was able to get the nicer suction screen installed. I am using it now, and it works great. Filler cap and screen are nice.

This is a great replacement reservoir and we’ll built. Bought for a dump trailer that had an old smaller reservoir that would leak. This was relatively easy to install and has worked so much better than the smaller old one.

A very nice tank that is made from good heavy gauge steel. Would have liked it to be an upright tank but adapted the bracket to fit what we needed. Thanks!

In the front, I thought it was a level gauge but it turns out it is a temperature thermometer. The mounting legs are easy to bend and it take awhile to fill. Besides that, it works for my log splitter.

Dimensions don't match site description or box label; it is smaller than reported, making it hold less fluid by about a gallon, or more if you count expansion room. Item came damaged on flanges. Other than these issues, it looks like a decent tank, just hope it holds enough oil to run a backhoe attachment without over heating.

This is a complaine about Purolator delivery person, the person trew a 30 lb, box over my 8 ft. gate and damagedthe tank in the box. what posessed this person to do this? honk your horn when at the gate, all is camera viewed.the person must be 8 ft. tall or carry a ladder, then leave it in front of the gate, like everybody else does.you have no complain department to call to.

The tank on my tractor for my loader was too small so when the fluid got hot it would foam and leak out. this tank was big enough to stop that. seems well built and mounted easily
