The old one on the left lasted 23 years but is no bueno now. The new one on the right arrived today and was installed 60 minutes later. Fit perfectly and works like a champ. Watch YouTube videos before you start. All you need is a Phillips screwdriver, Torx T-25, 8mm socket, 10mm socket, flat screwdriver to flick clips off and a magnet to retrieve clips when the fall to bottom of door.

The original power regulator is on the right and the left is the replacement for 2001 Grand Cherokee. Looks like the window support came with cheaper plastic. Hope it will last. The original is metal. Also the cable from the motor was too short to connect with the female plug. This was rubbing against the sharp metal panel as it goes through the hole. I added a plastic protector around the sheet metal hole. To get more cable length, the female plug was pulled off the mounting on the panel and barely connected to the male connector from the regulator motor.It's worth mentioning that the protective weather covering the whole panel was deteriorated. Had to improvise and used the old duct tape.Edit:The window regulator for the right passenger side had a short power lead (2"short). Also had to add some protective plastic around this cable since it was tight against the sheet metal panel hole. Like the OEM, replacements had the same cable ends terminate with plastic ends... this little1/2" plastic ends always breaks. Replaced all four windows TWICE!

It's a little slower then original but works so I'm happy .I could not get a dorman assembly because they only sell the 32 tooth or with a 32 motor which cost way too much

It’s very important that the cables that raise and lower the window are fully enclosed be a protective tube. This one is. Others may not be, which will lead to failure over time! This unit is made to last! The worst part is installation!

My rear drivers side window just randomly fell down, so I figured it was the regulator. Bought and installed this one, took me about an hour after consulting a video to get the particulars. This was a 2004 grand cherokee.
