Magnet is strong and clips are well made. Sturdy. Slightly smaller than expected but still does the job.

Bought these for extra flexible support for my garage door holiday cover. They work well since they lay flat enough to go up when the garage door opens. The hooks they give you are ok but these support better and are removable.

I really only needed one hook but it was cost effective to get this pack. Was just what I needed and the magnet is nice and strong.

Overall, these are a pretty good product and worth the price, however there are some caveats to keep in mind. The magnets are very strong, but their strength is dependent on what you are attaching them to. If you are planning to attach these to tin paneling, thin sheet metal or metal which has a heavy coating (thick paint, powdercoat, rubberized, etc), then you will probably want to go with a stronger magnet and a higher load rating. If you are attaching them to thicker or solid steel, then they are quite strong-- strong enough in fact that the swivel will probably separate from the base before the magnet separates from the metal. The trick to avoiding this would be to slide the magnet to the edge of the metal and try to leverage it up from there rather than pulling directly against it.I used some of these to hang "ghost" decorations under my metal carport for Halloween. They decorations themselves weight almost nothing but they do catch the wind a bit, so I wanted to be sure that they were mounted securely. I ended up using some 100lb hooks for attaching to the sheetmetal roof (and while it was certainly strong enough, I would have been OK with something stronger for my peace of mind) and I used a 50lb hook for attaching one to the support beam of the carport (galvanized square tubing). The 50lb hook was way more than necessary when attached to the beam. I initially used one of the 100lb hooks on the beam but when I tried to reposition it, it did not want to move! I ended up separating the swivel from the base when trying to pull it off the beam! The only other minor complaint that I have is that these are not particularly weatherproof. They spent 3 weeks outside under my carport and already started showing patches of surface rust. For some reason I was thinking that the bases were stainless steel, but that was a mistake on my part. These should work fantastic indoors or in mild climates, but they probably wouldn't last very long outdoors down here along the Gulf Coast with the hot, humid, salty air.

The flimsy ribbons that came with the Christmas banner to hang across my two-car garage weren't strong enough to hold it in our windy climate. So since my garage door is metal, I bought these swivel clips to use instead. They're very strong, and held up perfectly through a couple of storms. Only downside is, they're tricky to remove, since they're too strong just to pull off. I used a thin metal scraper to get under the corner of the magnets to remove them; they'll reside on the outside of my filing cabinet until next Christmas.
