These caster not only have brakes, but they are pivot-locking as well. I have a small (old) ShopFox table that I use for a variety of things. I use clamps to lock down my miter saw to it when I'm working on the back porch. I recently decided that I need to use the miter saw at the front of the house to do some repair work, but I didn't want to carry the miter saw out there in the morning, then back to the garage at the end of the day. I really don't have room for a portable miter saw stand, and I'm sure my wife would have loved for me to buy another tool. Then it struck me, put casters on the table! I looked these over and decided to give them a shot. Well, perfect fit, and the table is rock steady with the casters locked. It's easy to move around with the miter saw attached, and steers quite well. Overall, very happy with these casters. I have another identical table that will get the same casters installed. Highly recommended!

I got these for my laundry cart so it's not an exceptionally onerous job. I have gone through two sets of plastic wheel over five year, the plastic wheels would break. So I thought I'd get a heavier duty set of wheels. It took a little bit for me to install them but mostly because I'm not that mechanically inclined. And the wheels were kind of greasy, but once on no problem.The only drawback is that they are little taller than I thought they were going to be. About a 1/2 inch higher. Which wouldn't be a problem but I store my laundry basket under a table and now it doesn't really fit. I was going to clean out my closet and move the laundry basket there so once I do that, it won't be a problem anymore.The wheels work well and with the brakes on them you can stop the basket from rolling away. They look nice on as well. I would recommend these for light to medium duty (other reviews had problems with them on heavy items.) These wheel feel much more sturdy than the plastic ones they replaced.

Item looks great upon initial opening of the package. However, Threads on wheels snapped in half while screwing into slot. Highly disappointed.

I installed these on a Blackstar 15 watt Artist guitar amp. The plates were already installed on the bottom of the amp. I just had to make sure that the thread was the correct size to screw into and it was. They work perfectlyAmp rolls smoothly and effortlesslyGreat value for the money

Caster wheels decent, overall fair product. Locking plate not thick enough metal for normal use. Use carefully when engage/ disengaging brake/ lock. Bottom thin nut on Caster very hard to tighten without very thin wrench. Wrench supplied did not fit that nut, so very disappointed. It did fit the top mounting nut, though I could use a regular open end wrench for my application. I suppose for the cost I would purchase again. MANUFACTUER/ RETAILER NEEDS TO SUPPLY PROPER WRENCH TO HOLD NUT ON CASTER WHEN MOUNTING/TIGHTENING NUTS !!
