We cleaned up a small fenced area for our dogs. We train our dogs to have autonomy during the day and make decisions if they need to go outside to do their business. If they do, they have the freedom to let themselves out via a doggy door and go to the bathroom, bark at a squirrel or just lay outside and watch the woods (doggy TV). They have shade trees, and doggy items out in their fenced area to add to their outdoor enjoyment. We added this fire hydrant for our male dog. I have yet to see him hike his leg on it, but it's a nice Doggy Art Feature whether he ever uses it or not. Well constructed and easy to stake in the yard.

This is smaller than I had pictured, but that’s my bad. I’ve had two dogs since I bought this, neither of which has had any interest in peeing on it. However, I find it adorable and think I might move it to the front yard and build a stick library next to it. I tried wrapping it in solar lights to make it visible at night but that was really tacky. Get this to decorate, your dog won’t care 😂 Four out of five stars because it’s light and tips over and the way it stakes down is flimsy. But I knew it going in.

be careful unit is made what I think is plaster of Paris. Inside looks like it was filled in with insulation foam in the weak areas. It will break easily!

This looks nice in the yard. My dog uses it most of the time unless his mind is elsewhere. Very good value.

For the size of this hydrant the prices should be half of what I paid. It feels sturdy and a little on the heavy side which is a good thing to avoid it getting blown away. However my small dogs are much much bigger than this tiny hydrant.

Purchased for our new Corgi puppy. He hasn't got to the point of leg lifting, but someday soon. Really nice quality and very easy to install. We placed it on and area of artificial turf and had no issues with the install. If he never uses it for potty time it will still be super cute in his yard.
