This pot is perfect for a bushcraft kit. The locking lid is tight and secure when latched. It's solid and well made with tight tolerances. It's not as light as a titanium pot but this will hold up to years of use without issue. I have a few Zebra Billy Bush Pots (the Firebox versions with the steel locking latches) that I thought were the best all around bush pots. I bought this Fire Maple pot on on a whim, figuring I'd give it a try and use it as a spare, only to have it become the pot I grab first now. The compact size, wire bail handle that folds down tight to the sides, and flat locking lid make it fit better in a pack than Zebra pots. Being able to lock the lid regardless of the bail handle position is a great feature. It's big enough to store a well stocked survival kit, boil almost 1.5L of water (it's actually bigger than the stated 1.2L), and make a sizable meal at camp. The included mesh bag is oversized and loose, but functional. The only thing that would make it better would be to include, or make your own, well fitted carry bag out of Cordura or canvas. Great pot, well worth the money. Hell, I think I just talked myself into buying another one... :)

I camp a lot and I find this to be my most useful cooking/boiling pot. A very practical design. Perfect for cooking food or heating liquids for one or two people. High quality construction. I like the pour spout, the locking lid and the two handles. A+

Has good features overall: pail handle stays up, has fold-out grip handles, stainless steel. A little on the small side. But big enough to heat water for freeze-dried meals, make coffee, heat water to bath.

Nice high quality container for camping, bushcraft projects or using on the stove. Light weight, multifunctional and easy to clean.

This is a great little lightweight backpacking pot. Not too big and yet small enough to throw in a small pack. The gas canister and stove will fit inside with the lid closed and in the little provided bag it has a top handle for hanging and a side handle for pouring, plus a little spout, so the water doesn’t drip everywhere. It’s shiny and very well-made also. I’ve camped all my life and this is a good investment.

This is the absolute best bush pot that I have ever used! Everything about this pot, from the spout, to the handles, to the steamer basket, is perfectly thought out! I love it!

Solid pot that does what it is supposed to do. Only complaint would be that the butterfly handles are loose and don’t lock in securely. They easily swing out when pot is tilted towards handles which is kinda annoying. Purchased two and both were the same Would be a perfect pot without this issue.

Good quality, convenient size stainless steel pot. I use it regularly on stove and campfire. The lid clips are a good idea and help avoid the accidental 'knocking off' of the lid when removing it from fire. Good size for cooking meal (ie stew) for 2 or 3 people. Handles are sturdy and well fitting, good quality steel. What I would expect from Fire Maple products. This pot will provide many years of good service. Would recommend.
