Designed for hood and trunk applications, these stainless steel mounts go on the inside channel of your hood or trunk. There are no visible mounting holes required. All mounting hardware (also stainless steel) is hidden inside the hood or trunk channel. Either mount comes complete with antenna mounting stud. Many of the newer Ford and Chevy pick-ups have a deep channel for the hood. This mount is ideal for those vehicles. Of course, this mount isn't limited to pick-ups. It can be used on just about any vehicle with a hood and/or trunk. The bracket measures 2.9" (74cm) from the mounting base to the top of the bracket itself. The height from the mounting base to the first bend is 2.1" (53mm) so it can be used on channels with depths up to 2" (51mm). This mount may be used with heavy-duty fiberglass antennas up to 48" (122cm)

Fits my 2000 Ranger just fine. Simple to install and it’s very sturdy. Fairly inexpensive and does the job. I’d recommend buying.Edit- had it for almost 3 months now, holds good at 100mph+ and haven’t had any problems up to this point

I've used this mount on 2 different vehicles, it has been a excellent mount, it's currently on a 19' Chevy Silverado, in the tailgate jam, no issues, would buy again!!!

Four stars as I've just got it and installed it, haven't put it through any use yet though. Seems like a good, solid mount, and works well with the hood lines of my '05 Ford Ranger. Didn't end up using all of the provided screws, as I used two self tapping bolts I bought a while ago for my box. It's quite sturdy, though and doesn't look like it'll shake at all, even with a 4' Firestik on it. Will update as time goes on. Will include images later, as well.

Made very well and should fit many models of light trucks because of the way they made the bends and holes. Tried it out on a 2018 Subaru Outback, 2022 Jeep Cherokee and 1997 Ford Explorer. Perfect fit on all. Settled on mounting on the Explorer which was its intended use. Very solid install for my Wilson Firestick CB antenna. Great price for great product.

This is a stout piece of hardware that has proven its capabilities on the highway at 75+ MPH and off road with strong side-to-side rocking that occasionally whipped the 3 ft Firestik FS-3 to at least 45° sideways (mounted on a Firestik SS-3H spring.) And all that despite one of the bottom screws being only 90% engaged (due to me stripping the screwdriver holes...)Update 16 Feb 2016:Still working perfectly after thousands of on- & off-road miles. In my haste during the original install, I knowingly neglected to apply threadlocker and eventually had to replace the screws since they wallowed out after and few re-tightenings. Was sure to use threadlocker on the new screws and no issues since (been a few months.)

I had to use self rapper screws instead of the screws that came with the product other then that it’s a great item! Definitely did what I needed it to do! I’ll post a pic after while!

I looked at the item in its package and looked at the mounting location on my truck. Although it says it is compatible, there is no way this would work on my truck so I returned it without even opening it.
