The fischer expansion plug S is the original and the proven classic millions of times for decades. The plastic fixing is made entirely from high-quality nylon. As the plug only expands in two directions, it is possible to direct the expansion forces so that they run parallel to the edge of the building material by turning the plug. The size, S8 refers to the diameter of the hole you'll be using it in. I needed to use them in drywall. I was able to make them work by cutting off the open end about 5/8 of an inch.

After using the correct drill size, the anchor will just spin in the hole when the screw is tightened, which is useless.Went to H.D. to get same size #8 anchors, which work fine in the very same holes with the same screws.
