I am not a tournament bass fisherman and don't weigh my catch. I ordered these primarily because they are small and lightweight.I am always trying to reduce the weight and quantity of my fishing gear and these inexpensive small lip grabbers will replace my heavy metal spring loaded lip grabber that is hanging off the front of my bag and provide exactly the same function. I generally use the lip grabbers instead of carrying a net when possible.I catch and release, so anything that helps to minimize injury to the fish (like handling) works well for my angling. Likewise, I'm not needing to rinse or wipe the fish slime coating from my hands or gear.These take a little practice to open with 1 hand, but not difficult once you understand the action.Great idea, design, construction and price.

These fish clips are made of stout material and have a nice, positive feel to them when you function the clip. I confident they will hold up well; pretty much all you can hope for.
