I freaking love these scissors and I only said 9/10 because sometimes they're overpriced. But, they're great scissors and are a must-have for every kitchen. I first learned of them when I bought the traditional orange pair at an Ace Hardware store, and I realized how great they are. It's very important to get the hardened steel or anodized steel or whatever these are made from, because that makes a huge difference in keeping them sharp for years and years and years. A quality product will always excel in two areas: design and craftspersonship, it comes down to that in all cases. Part of the design of course is the choice of materials and these scissors are made with the right materials. Plus, their design with the serrations and the curve toward the hinge just make them able to cut more things, better, the way that all kitchen scissors should be made. I'm not a huge fan of the come-apart feature, but that's because I'm vegan and so these scissors never come in contact with carcasses and don't have the need to be thoroughly sanitized from time to time. I do use them in my garden, though, and they have performed remarkably well at cutting small branches, etc. Nothing seems to stop them. I got these gray ones because I prefer neutral colors for things in general, plus, I use these scissors alllll the time, everyday, and now with the neutral gray, I can keep them at my stove's hood, where I have several magnets to hold a variety of kitchen tools, a letter opener, etc. And the present orange ones I have will be relegated to the garden tools, as the orange handles really do help to find the tools if one should accidentally drop them in a pile of leaves, etc. But, knowing how great that Fiskars are, though, I will consider buying specific Fiskars garden tools. In the meantime, these kitchen shears are so perfectly great that I am in good hands until I decide to get their garden tools.These would make a wonderful item for a hope chest or for anyone at all, for someone who likes to cook and someone who doesn't like to cook. These are a must-have and I strongly, strongly recommend them!!!

I expect Fiskars products to be of high quality. Unfortunately, some products that bear the Fiskars name are no long manufacturered in Finland. This is one of those items. These shears are made in China.The blades are too short. That's on me. I should have checked the measurements more carefully before I ordered.The blades were also dull straight out of the package. I have a 25 year old pair of Fiskars household scissors that is still sharper than these shears.On top of that, although they can be disassembled for cleaning, the screw that acts like a hinge between the two separate blades, was a little loose on the pair I received. Even with a brush, I can't clean under the very narrow space beneath that screw. That's not ok. I wanted to use these shears on raw meat, which is the very reason I needed take apart shears in the first place. This defect defeats that purpose. I had to return them.

These kitchen shears are simple to take apart, cut easily and have not rusted even after daily use. I like knowing that they are well rinsed and clean before using again.

I purchased this pair to replace a similar pair that was probably 30 years old (the bolt where they fasten had loosened). I loved the old pair and wanted the same style. These do not disappoint. Tight fit and smooth cutting action, hopefully will last another 30 years :)

We tried to use two different competitors’ kitchen shears before I finally convinced my wife these were the ones to buy. They’re sturdy, sharp, easy to use, and worthy of the Fiskars name.

I love the style of shears. It is great for working in the kitchen cutting up chickens and meat and other products. The two blades actually separate so they can be fully washed and clean and you don’t have to worry about little bits staying in between the blades after you’ve been cutting up the chicken, or cutting the fat off of a piece of meat.

Product is likely good (I haven’t used it more than once yet), but I noticed that it’s smaller than I had expected. I can only get 3 fingers into one of the handles and my thumb will only go in an inch.I’m average height/weight (5’7†- 5’11â€) and (180-210 lbs)
