Worked perfectly for moving large rubber stall mats 3/4†6’x4’. Was able to use one in the middle to move the heavy mats by myself and with 2 people one on either end of the same edge moved downstairs with ease highly recommend.

I bought this because I had to move some full melamine sheets. I tried to use it on a 3/4" sheet, which weighs a ton. I was able to lift the sheet, but I didn't trust myself to move it around with that single lifting point while keeping the corners of the board from scraping against the ground. So I enlisted one of my daughters to help me carry the sheet.I was thinking about returning this tool, but I then began using it to move the pieces of melamine after I broke down the sheets into 4x4' or 2x8' sections. I've also used it to move thinner sheets of wood, like 1/2" baltic birch. So it's a definitely good tool, but it won't automatically make it so you can lift 200 lbs with one arm. As long as you understand your own limits, it can be very useful when moving large pieces of wood by yourself.

This tool makes carrying sheets of plywood without a helper not only possible but easy. It's very sturdy, being built out of aluminum and (I believe) the handle is steel. The only reason I'm giving it 4 instead of 5 stars is because the aluminum part is obviously cut from a large sheet and has not been deburred. This makes these edges very sharp and it wouldn't be too hard to cut yourself. I put a sanding wheel on one of those little artistic dremel tool things and ground down the edges. If the manufacturer did it before assembly, they could just use an angle or bench grinder. Overall a good tool with only a small oversight. You should wear gloves anyways when you're handling large sheets of plywood :-)

At first seeing these devices at another website I was a bit skeptical of the design. So after purchasing one and using it to move 14 sheets of 10ft X 1/2 sheetrock this morning made me a believer in these tools. The gripping faces of these tools is quite similar to rough roof shingle. There was a previous review of this cracking sheets of sheetrock, this was not my experience. As a matter of fact, the bottom sheet had a bubble in the middle of the sheet from where the heavy paper (the side that faces the wall studs) on the back of the sheet. This tool didn't deteriorate the condition of the sheet any worse than when I started. It left no bite marks on any of the sheets lifted today. My experience/advice to anyone using this tool is make absolutely certain you have strong lower back, and strong core muscles, lift with your legs, and know your limitations. The manufacturer didn't skimp on the heft of materials used as it should be. Lifting a 10ft sheet of sheetrock didn't make my hand sore, but my legs felt it though. The comfort of the handle makes lifting sheet goods quite painless. This review is just another reason why these tools have 4.5 star rating...Nice tool!

I've used this a couple times and I like it. I have another couple that you put under the panels and lift them, but this works well also and is handy in situations where the other is not.

I had to move 30 sheets of various drywall panels 50 yards from the parking lot to my door. The 5/8" panels were not easy to move alone, but this was the only panel carrier that made it possible for me. I also have the type of carrier that carries the panel from the bottom edge, but this one (surprisingly) is much easier. The panels did not slip, were not damaged, and the tool seems quite sturdy.

I like how heavy duty it’s built. Very user-friendly ease of use. This thing will make my back very happy!

Just had a chance to try it to move around some plywood and drywall; although the 3/4" plywood was heavy, this worked well. Most of the time on the drywall, however, it cracked the drywall even when gingerly trying to lift it.

I don't move plywood sheets very often , but when I do I find this really useful. A sheet of 18mm ply or 18mm mdf Can be really heavy and this makes it much easier and is safer for my back.

It feels good and sturdy in the hand with robust construction. Very simple to use and helps lift and move large sheets on your own. A must have for a woodworker!
