Our woodburning heater grate wore out and we could not find a replacement. Husband purchased this grate and adapted it to our broken one. Now our fires burn well without being suffocated by ash.

I like this for what it is - a fireplace mesh grate. Works fine. I do not expect it to last for years but at the price I paid I’m satisfied. Be warned it IS SHARP. Wear gloves!

These grates are perfect for my fireplace! They keep DuraFlame log pieces from falling into fireplace floor as they burn down. This keeps my fire going longer and visible while enjoying a good movie. Great purchase!!

We have a large cast iron 36" wide 15" deep grate. After 25 years of use, some of the rungs on the grate have broken. I looked online to replace the grate, with one identical to the one I have. I didn't want to spend $650 to replace the grate. Aside from the 3 broken bars/rungs, it still works well. This purchase of ember grids was a good option. So far, it's a WIN! No more falling embers, and the fires are burning more efficiently without wasted wood pieces falling out of the holes in the grate.

This will help keep the pieces off the floor of the fireplace so they can keep burning. It's not very heavy, so I can't say how long it will last before it burns through, but this is a "2" pack so I have a backup.

Bought this because of good reviews not too pleased. 2 weeks of use and it's already burnt through and all melted. The picture doesn't show the waves melted in around our log holder. The other major hazard to just laying an ember screen o top of the log holder is occasionally when moving logs around you catch it and it moves the entire fire. Too bad this is way too used to try and return so I'm out $$ and guess I will replace my entire holder instead of using these.
