These tables were a perfect combination and height to go with the 8 barstools we ordered for my man cave/game room less than 300.It's looks like it's made of a melamine top wrapped in aluminum and looks nice. We decided to leave the top cover film on to protect the top longer as i believe they will end up getting scratched up. I like the base because it allows the stools to tuck in close. The top is also perfect standing height as well. It's pretty sturdy for its height, lightweight, and size.You may be surprised when you open the box and see its construction, but it works. I wish they would have used a slightly larger diameter rod down the center and used a little more weight in the base, but there is room to add tape weights in it. Overall these are great.

Very happy with this purchase. It’s not big but it’s not small. For me it’s the perfect size. Exactly what I was looking for. The quality of the table is better than I expected. It has decent weight and doesn’t topple over under normal use and normal weather conditions. I like it so much I’m thinking of buying another .

This table is great. It's sturdy and looks really nice. I was going to place it in the covered patio, but I'm probably going to leave it in the mancave.I would caution that your table is going to be leveled based on how the rod is leaning. I did have to remove everything, adjust the rod and put everything back together and it's leveled on all sides. The instructions that comes with the table isn't very helpful, however it doesn't take a rocket scientist to put this together. Put together, it is taller than I thought, so leaving out one of the tubes and connectors makes it a perfect standard height table for regular chairs. And it is small, I am only using 2 chairs, but I love it. Yes the top has a few dings, but they aren't major. And it's perfect for outdoors. Very sturdy when together (make sure it the tube is in the little notch) and a nice addition for my nook. A tablecloth will change out the look very easily.

You guys, I have learned a lot about bar height and counter height in getting this item. I truly wanted a high bistro table for my basement to add near my bar in some dead space. I ordered a long table at first and after buying about 3 different items (gave away as gifts), I learned that I was not getting the appropriate height. Once I changed to a round table I saw that the availability of tables that were higher in "bar" height provided me with more choices. This table is very high so it is important to measure your chairs/stools so that the table is appropriately at your lap when sitting at the table. I love this table and it came with a secure film to keep it from scratching while you put it together.

When fully assembled, it looks great, but this:No1. This long tiny rod sticking up is like a sword and a huge hazard to KILL someone bending down. God forbids, it can impel through the eye, mouth or neck just to name a few.No2. I assembled without using the instructions manual because I trusted the review I read prior. I’ll tell you, there’s a lot of room for improvements ’til dis/assembly time can be cut to under one minute for any given average “Joe The Plumberâ€. I will have to keep mine (bought a pair btw) assembled as I don’t want to risk going through it again!No3. I am an engineer, a great one, and I am mostly concerned about point no1. How about you replace the connecting rod with a cable? You can perhaps use a keyed slot to prevent rot d.o.f. about the axis but allows translation during tensile loading…OR scratch this design all together. I would just taper the ends of the male pole. then accordingly, draft the female sockets of the base and the table. Such design will for sure allow you to achieve the under a min assembly time goal and make joe the plumber happy.Hope no one gets hurt and Good luck!

Despite all the bad reviews on how hard it was to put together, I gave it a try. I got the fixed top version and followed the instructions and was done in less than a half hour. It was simple. Looks good and is very sturdy.
