Not sure why it’s been happening in recent years, but I’ve had to get my tab stickers replaced several times after running through the touchless car wash even though I only had a single layer of tabs. After replacing them twice within a single season, I decided to purchase these and they’ve worked well.These do come with black plastic caps which I opted not to use as they’re fairly large and distracting. I use this without a license plate frame which keeps the look minimal and clean.I like that these are thin (about 1/4†thick), and FLAT - not domed like other covers. One thing is that the sides don’t cover the sides completely, so debris can get in between the cover and the plate sometimes, so requires some additional work to clean, possibly just spraying with water. Nothing tragic. I’ve run these for a year now and seem to be holding up well.Do note that these covers may be against the law in some jurisdictions since some areas don’t allow covers or frames to obstruct parts of the plate even if they are clear - so check your local laws.

These covers aren’t flat at all. If I took the time to read the reviews, I would know. They’re not bad but they’re not what I wanted nor expected.

This is thick and durable. I’ve had it for about four years now working well, but starting to yellow. Better than others I’ve tried. Will buy them again.*** EDIT 2024-07-14 ***Received replacements, but they changed the design. The original was a flat piece of polycarbonate, the new version I received is a molded piece of polycarbonate that doesn’t really fit the license plate very well. I think that the flat version worked really well because license plates are inherently flat. Time will tell to see if the new versions are equal to the old versions.

I had the bulged out version before these - but they yellowed and cracked.This is just a single sheet of clear plastic that fits over the top of the plate.I think this is a much better look for my car.

This cover is too small for Ontario license plate. The return fee is almost the same cost. This is the worst experience I have ever had with Amazon purchase.
