Usage: garage storageThe good:Craftsmanship, quality, shelf locking mechanism, mounting guide (place on the wall, drill your holes, you're done!! - super easy install!)The thing I like most is the shelf locking mechanism. The rear of the shelf has a pin that locks the shelf in place on each side for each shelf. Genius engineering! The bad:The only con is if you're planning to store small stuff like cleaning products, spray paint cans, etc. large items fit fine!I have a small house and need to utilize the vertical storage as much as possible. I will be purchasing a lot more as soon as it's within my budget. Thank you fleximount!

I saw in another review that this was too complicated to install. Not true! Very sturdy, straight forward installation including a template for drilling. I was missing a part but customer service was very responsive. I would recommend to anyone looking for a fairly high capacity set of shelves.

This is the third set of shelves I bought of this brand for our garage. I was pleased with my first two sets so I ordered this to set up an area in the garage to store the things we take frequently to my son’s baseball tournaments. The shelves are adjustable, and once you have them in the desired position, you lock the brackets into place with screws. I can’t think of a reason someone might need to change the shelf positions frequently, but if that describes you, you may want to look at another option. I like that the shelves are secured into place. It keeps the shelves from moving when loading/unloading, or sliding heavier items into position on them. Just like the other two sets, I installed these completely on my own. I did use a drill, laser level, stud finder, and socket wrench (none of these included obviously). When I decide to add more shelving in my garage, I won’t hesitate to use Fleximounts brand again.

Pros:Easy to InstallComes with a template, but I would ignore it (see below)Heavy dutyQuality packaging and hardwareCons:Shelves will slide laterally (I had to zip tie them all)The holes are large (my Black and Decker 20v batteries and chargers will fall right through them)The template was trash and resulted in my shelves not being 100% even. Don't trust it.The bolts were monstrous. You will need a huge drill bit to create the holes. It seemed like overkill.

These shelves make it possible to store loads of stuff in a compact area while leaving more room for the car or just maneuvering in the garage. Previously, I had plastic shelves which worked, but took up too much space. These shelves are durable and hold quite a bit of weight. Mine were installed by a carpenter but I think most can do it themselves as long as you know to find the studs before you start drilling. I purchased 2 sets of the 1X4 ft. sections. They show the wrong measurements on the site but don't let that throw you off. Obviously, they are not 144 inches long, which is what the picture shows. I highly recommend these shelves.

This is a nice wall shelf whose best attribute is that it's incredibly easy to install. I was cooking some chicken on the grill while installing, and literally had this entire thing on the wall of my garage before the chicken was done. It feels heavy duty and sturdy, but as others have noted the shelves can slide left to right a few inches, so I'm going to use some heavy duty cable ties to strap them to the supports and prevent sliding. Price is fairly high for what you get, but again - super easy install, so I'm pleased and would buy again.

I just installed a set of these shelves in my garage yesterday. I found the whole process to be easy enough, with clear instructions and a really nice-looking finished product. I really like the power-coat finish on these shelves. And I also liked the very secure connections and locks on the shelves and supports. The mesh of the wire shelves is very VERY coarse, so you won't be storing any small items on these shelves without first laying down a board or something. The included cardboard template worked perfectly, and the neat little level that is included did a great job too. I'd say that it took me about 45 minutes to install these, from finding and marking studs to pre-drilling holes, to ratcheting the rails onto the wall with the included bolts, to attaching the supports and shelves. Altogether it was a smooth process with no gotchas. I'll be ordering another set of these to compliment the ones I just put up!

These shelves are high quality and easy to install. The bolts that come with them are heavy duty. I bought two sets to put in a small storage closet and am pleased with the way they turned out. Pay attention to the way you install the racks. If you install them upside down the little slide locks that secure the shelves won’t match the slot for them. Ask me how I know. :) Highly recommend!
