It’s probably not going to be my go to for daily climbing. However if there’s a job where you know you might have chance of the saw hitting your line the steel cable is a better option. I was skeptical of the quality at first, but after several safety tests ended up keeping the flip line. Easy and safe to adjust the slack, the rig gives you places to attache a back up line when you disconnect. Which is key for running a saw, or hanging tree stands which I’ve done both with using the steel cable flip line.

There is a very little slip on the adjustment out of the bag, which may be because it’s new and a bit slick, but it holds tight when there’s actually some weight on it. The hardware is all top grade, and I had no issues up the first tree.

So far this flip line has done a great job keeping me safe, it’s easy to work with and there’s been no issues to date.

First impressions of the flipline are, the clean construction details, it’s heavy duty design and the tactile feel. Will put it in use and maybe revisit later

Never used this style before but easy to get the hang of it. Loved east of use

That you cannot remove and inspect the grabber is a bit of a disappointment. I also suspect the reviews upon which my purchase was made, were not issued in good faith. Otherwise, the lanyard works fine.
