I ordered a lower cost cracker first and it was cheap which made cracking difficult, so I bought the Florida Cracker model and theirs is quality and does the job!

Great solid cracker. Does the job very well for all sizes, including medium. For thicker ones, use the area with more torque (further away from the handle).

Buy this one and not the other crappy quality ones with the white plastic bottoms. They are trash. This one is 1000% better than those. Solid aluminum base with beefier hardware. Don't make the mistake I made by getting the wrong one first. I should have gotten this one. Now I have, and so happy I did.I had purchased another company's product here on Amazon for my wife to use with her stone crab claws. Had seen them used before and was looking forward to her being able to use it with her order of claws. Unfortunately, that other brand's build quality is horrible. Very low grade aluminum on the base and the white plastic base is not firm at all. As you apply pressure to crack the claws the base bent up and ended up warping it all out of shape. I would definitely steer clear of that model or others that look the same.Choose this model. It rocks. Very solid aluminum base that will not bend on you and much heavier duty parts. Buy this one, not the others. Otherwise you will be disappointed and you'll have to come buy this one anyway. Save yourself the pain that I experienced and buy this one. :)

Heard about this product at a bbq. Was tired of the mallet with stone crab, this was the ticket. Had it ordered before my fist bite hit the butter. Ordered 20 jumbo claws and waited, both came the same day, don’t know what was better, the food or the tools.

This tool is a game changer for stone crab claws! It’s not messy like using a little hammer and it cracks them perfectly. I would have given a 5 if it could be used to open oysters without cracking the shell.
