I ordered two of these, not at the same time. The first one, my Doberman was able to play with for a good while, but the second one, she tore up in less than two days.

It’s bigger than I expected it to be. I bought it for our corgi puppy who loves to chew. At first I was worried it wouldn’t work for her until she was older but she loves it! She can’t quite get her mouth all the way around it yet but that doesn’t stop her from dragging it around and having a good game of tug-a-war with us. She will even go get this rope out of the toy box all by herself. It’s very durable so she’ll get to play with it for a long time to come.

It is inexpensive but nothing lasts long with my dog’s voracious chewing habits. It is his mission in life to destroy his toys. He is good at it. He made short work of this rope and enjoyed every minute. 3 stars because the rope is made up of long thick soft strings that he was easily able to pull out and swallow. That created some choking/gagging and struggles when the strings “exited†the other end.

My red golden retriever who is still a puppy chews through everything, even Kong stuff eventually. He craves having something to chew on that he can destroy when he gets frustrated with overly hard toys. This lasts maybe a week but is easy to clean up, safe for him since there is no polyester, and he can progressively destroy it as he likes. Best for the velociraptor years for sure.

Having these were a good distraction to keep the pups occupied and less likely to try to chew the beds which is what they would usually do without the chew toy...but they do tend to ignore them sometimes. It helps if you try to engage them and then throw it...at least one of our pups enjoyed it that way. He would actually catch with his front paws more often than in his mouth. I do think they appreciate these chew toys than any of the plastic ones they had before.
