About this item

  • 75 Watt Red Heat Bulb helps you keep an eye on your pet during evening hours without disturbing the nocturnal routine
  • Provides UVA rays that stimulate normal feeding behavior in reptiles.
  • Provides heat for reptiles and amphibians through infrared light.
  • Reptiles are ectothermic and depend on their environmental temperature to regulate their core body temperature.
  • Keeps your Reptiles and Amphibians Healthy and Happy with the appropriate Terrarium Temperature

Fluker's incandescent light bulbs provide the radiant heat (infrared light) that reptiles need. Reptiles are ectothermic and depend on their environmental temperature to regulate their core body temperature. If a reptile is not provided an appropriate environmental temperature range (ETR), it may be predisposed to chronic infections. Because ETR's vary from species to species, ask your pet professional or review available literature for guidance in determining the appropriate ETR  for your pet. Fluker's has provided an easy-to-read reference table to simplify bulb selection based on the distance the bulb will be placed from the reptile.

I'm not a reptile but I feel nice and warm shining this thing on my back. The bulb lasts quite a while if you don't abuse it or run it 24/7. You will need to find a place to clip it onto.

This bulb lasted for an entire year. I don’t know how many hours, but at least 6 to 8 every day and it got knocked around and that’s probably what caused it to burn out because this thing definitely the durability of it was excellent. The heat was comparable to other things and at a low wattage that I felt safe using so I would highly recommend For a small aquarium with a reptile.

Couldnt find temps on the product description so i gambled it. All the temps are listed on the box at least. I'm using this bulb in a feral cat enclosure I built to keep our new little friend that recently showed up, warm during cold northern Minnesota/Wisconsin winters. I've had the bulb on for over a week straight without issues. Not sure how long it will last but I got a spare for immediate replacement. Came undamaged unlike other reviews. I wanted a bulb that wasn't super bright so the cat could sleep less disturbed, but still put out good heat. I didn't want a specific heat bulb that didn't put out any light or that pulled a ton of power since i plan on leaving it on all day every day for the next 5 months of winter... I got the 75w bulb as a happy medium for heat output and power draw. It's placed roughly a foot above the floor in the enclosure and so far, at 20°F outside temp, the main insulated center inside the enclosure stayed at 90°F on the polystyrene floor. Should do well once it gets into the negative temps. I used a infrared temp gun. Does exactly what I need it to do for the application.

It's a good product at a good price. But it's shipped In a BAG, which Increases the chance of the BULB getting broke

I got several of these for my brooder, all of different wattages, so I can lower the temperature without adjusting the height of the fixture. They all worked out of the box and worked well during operation. The difference between the output temperature of the different bulbs though are negligible when stationed at about 2 ft high. For me it was better to skip down two wattages as I lowered the temperature of the brooder weekly. I wound definitely recommend these bulbs at they seem to be well made and I didn't have any issues with any of the ones that I bought.

I bought three bulbs less than a month ago the first bulb blew itself out of the metal socket that's part of the bulb, the second bulb just didn't function and the third one doesn't seem to want to work correctly you have to fidget with the bulb every 10 minutes for it to stay on the quality control of these bulbs is very low but when they are working they do provide a decent amount of heat and look professional and they just don't seem to do the job long term now if you need a bulb to get you through a few days these will do but do not expect these to last more than a few weeks

These heat bulbs work great. I purchased them to heat my chick brooder after hatch and they are maintaining a steady temperature. They have been on for almost a week continuously so far. Great quality, not too expensive. Worth the money.

I have used it for a couple of weeks, the one that came with the hatch kit was too hot and I used a 100w bulb and decided to go with this one and it works well. It's been a few weeks now and still going 24/7.
