This fit my furnace outlet perfectly after I figured out how to get those tiny springs to hold it in. Getting the little springs to hook on was a bugger. I finally got them installed okay. It would have been easier to use a small length of wire to wrap around the outlet and the spring.

I bought this to keep rodents out of the furnace. I found the springs inferior and I used wire at the 4 corners. The gasket does not stay on as is so I used some high temp sealer to keep it in place while I attached the wires. I now have a secure fit

Ignore the enclosed "tool" and use needle-nose pliers instead to attach the springs. First, attach the springs to the inside of the screen. Second, grab the loose end of each spring with the pliers and hook them over the vent. Takes less than 10 minutes.
