Its soft but still holds its firmness and support for an individual to sit on it without compressing the foam too much. Compression = firmness compression (not density) is what determines firmness. If you dont want a cushion thats hard as a rock or a mattress that sinks when you sit on it, you have to check the compression or ild number. Compression means the number of pounds necessary to compress a piece of foam 25% and still bounce back to the original thickness. For example, a 4" thick piece of foam that requires 33 lbs. To pack it down 1" and have it return to its full 4" thickness has a 33 lb. Compression rating or (ild) -indention load deflection. Do not open with a box cutter. Use a ball point pen or a pencil. Start by making a little incision and break it from there - durability : will last 7 to 10 years high density foam is used for firmness with a touch of softness for comfort, which is most popular for mattresses & cushions. It has high quality compression and material to keep it lasting for longer periods of time even when harsh weight is applied. Get it right the first time It is also a good idea to know the size and the Height of your mattress ahead of time to make sure you are ordering the correct size. I bought 2 of the 6 inch cooling mattresses with the cotton covers. When they originally arrived only 1 had showed up which was disappointing since I paid for 2 and now I had to go through the process of trying to get the other one. I got in touch with their costumer service within minutes! They were quick to fix the problem and shipped out a replacement mattress the same day. I did have to wait another week but I didn’t mind since I didn’t need it in a certain time frame. The second mattress came in and got it all set up!These mattresses are great! The 6inch is super thick and comfortable, even my husband can lay on them weighing 200lbs and it’s firm enough to not sink down but soft enough it’s not hard. We bought these for our camper bunks since the stock mattress were dingy and super thin, I attached a picture with the old mattress on top of the new ones to see how thin the old ones were! They fit perfectly in our bunks. They also expand as soon as you take them out of the box! So no waiting hours upon hours for them to rise. Definitely worth the money spent!

We bought one of these mattresses last summer to see how it fit in our RV bunk and how comfortable it is. It fit perfectly and it quite comfortable. We thought it was a great deal for the price. The layers of foam held up nicely so it is great quality. We actually purchased another one this past summer for the other bunk in our RV.

My son bought a camper that has a sketchy mattress in it and I knew he needed a replacement. Read the reviews for this one and took a leap of faith. This was a great investment and it was well loved for every single night for six months ths straight. (Lived at a job site) Would buy again.

Use this in our travel trailer in the bunk room, it works great! So much more comfortable than the thin foam that comes with the travel trailer.

First of all, I am an average sized guy. 6'4" 250ish lbs. Just the slightest bit of a belly. Not bad for a 58 y.o. This mattress is awesome. I love really firm beds and this thing is that. It has just enough give to make it better than sleeping on bare ground. Kind of like being on about 3 or 4 inches of fir boughs. I bought the little camper to stay warmer during hunting seasons. Cold starting to make the joints ache. Anyways, the bottom of this mattress is a very firm foam. The top is softer but not like memory foam which swallows your body. I had a 4" memory foam with about 3 inches of mattress topper foam and when I laid on my side the hips and shoulders would feel the plywood of the bed. Too soft. Plus, I felt like I was lying in a hole. Just not comfy. This mattress is perfect. Really firm with just a little bit of give. I like.

Every mattress I've ever purchased has a minimum of a 30 day warranty to try the mattress and make sure it is comfortable. Not this one. Once it's opened if you want to return it your SOL. Spoiler alert, it's very uncomfortable. If you like sleeping on hard wood or concrete.. you'll love it. $300 wasted.
