Bought this literally, just for Thanksgiving.... but once I realized I could defrost things.... that is what i did!This is sleek, easy to clean/wipe, easily stored with a nice bag that came with it. The surface doesn't get scalding hot like you'd think.... you can accidentally graze your hand or arm over the top (at the highest temp) and it wouldn't burn you like a stove top would. The only thing it was lacking is maybe a cheat-sheet with maybe suitable temps to keep "such & such" warm.... or "to help defrost such and such, a good degree range is ___".... ya know? Because it's like the blind leading the deaf. I don't even know what typical bath water temps are (I'm terrible at adulting), so I don't even know whereeeeee to start when it comes to temperature of... well, of anything, really. So a little guide would have been a nice touch.And for the price of this ($19.99 at time of review), buy 2 of these for my Thanksgiving spread, is not outlandish at all. Worth alllllll the dollars!!

These food warming mats are a must have for any event where you hosting a decent amount of people and you are cooking multiple dishes that need to be timed up to all be done and hot at the same time. But when you only have a limited amount of space in the oven it can be tough to time everything all up to be hot when dinner is being served. This totally takes the stress out of that, where once the dish comes out of the over we stick in on the warming mat and the food holds in it heat long enough for the other items to come out of the over so we are more easily able to serve everything hot at once hassle free.

Okay, I wanted to give this a great review. It's got a nice look and feel to it, it rolls up nicely, is easy to store. The controls are easy to use, and it does heat up.But the heat on it is very uneven. As in, there were decided cold spots (or "not as warm" spots) on the surface. Even with it set to 180 F, after it heated up completely, I had no trouble placing my hand in several spots on the surface. The not-hot-spots were barely warmer than my body temp. I also tried a simple experiment, crackers on a plate and crackers directly on the surface, temp set to 180, and left them there for 20 minutes. The crackers on the plate barely got warm, despite sitting on one of the hot spots, and the crackers off the plate were sitting on a not-hot-spot and didn't get warm at all.Pretty disappointed in this product, to be honest.

This 26x15" silicone warming mat has a detachable cord and comes with a fabric storage bag. When it is set up for use, it sits slightly raised from your table on multiple silicone feet along the length of the mat. It has an easy-to-read digital temperature display and a more-or-less even heating surface.I've never used a silicone warming mat before this - it did, indeed, keep food warm, but the temperature readings are a bit misleading. (For instance, if you set it to the highest setting and put a pot of water on the mat, it doesn't boil.) It's also an odd size in terms of what you can put on the mat - I realized that unless I was using square/rectangular dishes, there was a lot of unused surface space - which seems like a waste, since (in theory) those "empty" areas are being equally heated along with the "full" areas. On the positive side, though, it does have timed shut-off features, rolls up fairly compactly for storage, and when it's turned off, it cools down quickly and is very easy to clean with a wet towel.Overall, I feel like this is a good product for buffet-style serving or other situations where people would be more likely to "graze" over time. It is certainly a safer option than using sterno cans, if nothing else, and would likely be a fairly good value if you entertain often.

Super easy to clean, multiple temperatures, great warm setting, and excellent storage functionality to roll up and just put away when you're done. This thing is an awesome value for the price - must buy.
