Somehow I managed to get this thing to slide all the way on. But no way I can get it to come back and off. Don’t know why they give you the rubber button to hold it in place. It will not budge at all when I try to remove it. Now I am worried that when I need to turn the heater on will it melt. I was planning to be able to slide this on and off if/when needed. Now the only way I will be able to get it off is with some careful cutting with small rotary tool. Wonderful!!!

I can't even slide it on, feels like it will scratch the dish or even break it or the cover if I try more. I would not recommend it.
