For a 2000 Explorer 8.8 rear, pinion and carrier bearings worked well, but the wheel bearings and seals were way too small for the axle tubes. Bought parts too far ahead of install, so figured this out literally the day after my return window ended. Now stuck buying $60 of parts after spending money on this. Also, comes with shims but does not include oil slinger.

It's a quality product but it was missing one bearing in the kit. I had to order another kit, (wait longer) which did arrive with all the correct parts. Hey Amazon, when I buy NEW auto parts, I expect them to be in factory new sealed condition..... not already fingered by someone then returned, then shipped to me. This 8.8 install kit along with the factory ford 8.8 Trac Loc clutch rebuild kit that I ordered from you came already opened by someone else. It may suck for a retailer to receive parts/items back that have already been opened but DO NOT send those returned (used) parts to me. I will send them back every time! Do NOT turn someone else's problem into MY problem.TLDR: Great kit if you can get Amazon to ship you a kit that hasn't already been opened and returned by someone else. This particular returned kit that I received was also missing a parts.

this must be for the 28 spline axle. the wheel bearings and wheel seals are about 1/4" smaller diameter than the originals on my 1996 bronco rear end with 31 spline axles

Everything you need for an entire rearend rebuild. If your going with new gears this kit is a must. The reason for 4 stars is the supplied marking compound is a very little amount.
