After 4-1/2 years of abuse on this saw; it still cuts great! I'm not easily impressed but this saw definitely has done that. Cut into the dirt and hitting rocks on multiple occasions and it still cuts fine. Not as good as when it was new, but it still does the job. I have a brand new one but will keep it stored until this one gives out. Great product, I hope Forester keeps up the quality.

Never used a Silky, but this saw works great. You can take down small trees in seconds or minutes. I used the Bear Saw extensively before this one. This blade is wider and much more rubust and durable than the Bear Saw. My Bear Saw is missing lots of teeth. This one is missing none after plenty of rough use. Maybe the Silky that this one is imitating is better, but this is a very good saw and for the price well worth buying gor anyone who needs to prune trees or tree branches. For small jobs this can totally replace a chainsaw. Won't be going back to Bear Saws for cutting trees after using this.

Very nice saw. Works very well. Used on logs, branches, 2x4's, and OSB plywood with great results. Cuts very well and is versatile and convenient. It's worth having several if you have trees/gardens or go camping often. No rust yet after several uses and minimal cleaning, also still nice and sharp. No complaints with this guy. Will buy more if needed.

For the money (3/4 the price of the equivalent Silky Saw), this thing is really good. However, you will notice a difference in things like handle finish and the quality of the sheath (both much better on the Silkys). Also, strangely, the one I got did not come with a lanyard hole like the one pictured.

Never had a silky saw, and I can't imagine ever needing one since I have this saw. It takes literally seconds to process three and four inch branches. It's durable, light and It takes literally seconds to process three and four inch branches. I don't know what else you would want from a saw. If you're looking for a steal of a deal this is it, You're done shopping.

I love this saw. Worth every penny over the cost of a $12 folding saw. Very sharp and sturdy. I use mine every weekend. I also have used this in central America cutting bamboo. The belt loop on the scabbard is very useful.

The blade looks fine, but never cut anything since the handle was broken when delivered. The front handle screw was sheared off at the head (very poor quality metal). This is a defect from the factory. Item has been returned. I will buy something better to replace it.

I have been using Silky and saws as a professional for over a decade. I tried out this and saw as a comparison to the silky Zubat. It is quite sharp! But I did not hold up the way the silkies do. On day two, I could feel that the blade wiggling in the handle mounts. The blade does not hold its edge as well as a Silky, either. The belt loop also broke within the first two weeks or so and that is an important feature for me.I think any homeowner would probably be thrilled with this saw, but not a professional.
