This fitting does what I expect for going on "forklift" tanks. Just note, those tanks feed LIQUID propane to engines (and they want that with things to vaporize it on the way to the engine). If you think you can use this fitting and that tank style to feed your BBQ or heater, WRONG. Virtually everything else burn propane VAPORS which is why they have the valve on top of the tank and must be kept upright (so the vapors are coming off the top of the tank feeding the BBQ, stove, heater or such). They won't burn liquid and will be messed up from a liquid feed, so don't try it.Also note, some think the threads on this are a match to the QCC threads on the BBQ tanks (where I've seen fillers try to connect the QCC connector to a forklift tank). They are close, but they are NOT the same where you shouldn't attempt that. Besides the threads not really matching up, you won't have the "nose" of a connector to force open an internal "safety valve" on BBQ tanks and get gas flow, so that's another reason it won't work. The only way you can possibly use gas from a forklift tank for other purposes is to transfer it thru hoses from the "forklift" tank into another, then use that one normally.
