Unique Side-draft Wall-Mounted Structure
As the leader of side-draft range hoods, FOTILE spent 3 years of consumer research deeply understanding the pain of not having a properly working range hood. By launching the V Series Side Draft Range Hood, FOTILE solved the fundamental problem of extraction. It perfectly covers 4 burners or more with powerful smoke and odor extraction.
Under the Cabinet Installation:
- A: Is there already an existing duct pipe? We recommend using a 6” diameter duct pipe.
- B: There must be an available power outlet.
- C: The width between the side cabinets must be at least 29.9”, not to exceed 36”.
- D: The distance from the cooktop to the top of the range hood must be at least 29.9”, not to exceed 32.5”
- E. The distance from the top of the cooktop’s control panel (if applicable) to the bottom of the cabinet covering the exhaust duct pipe must be greater than 18”
- F. The decorative plate is available in two different sizes to fit your needs. If the distance (G) from the cooktop to the bottom of the cabinet covering the exhaust duct pipe is:
- a. 33.5”, we recommend purchasing a 4” decorative plate
- b. Between 33.5” to 36.5”, we recommend purchasing a 4” or 6” decorative plate
- c. Between 36.5” to 38.5”, we recommend purchasing a 6” decorative plate
Wall-Mount Installation:
- A: Is there already an existing duct pipe? We recommend using a 6” diameter duct pipe.
- B: There must be an available power outlet.
- C: The width between the side cabinets must be at least 29.9”, not to exceed 36”.
- D: The distance from the cooktop to the top of the range hood must be at least 29.9”, not to exceed 32.5”
- E. If the distance from the floor to the ceiling is:
- a. 8ft, we recommend purchasing an adjustable decorative cover for 8ft ceiling.
- b. 9ft, we recommend purchasing an adjustable decorative cover for 8ft ceiling and an extended cover designed for 9ft ceiling. Combine them, they will be suitable for the 9ft ceiling
- c. 10ft, we recommend purchasing an adjustable decorative cover for an 8ft ceiling and an extended cover designed for a 10ft ceiling. Combine them, they will be suitable for the 10ft ceiling

FOLDING OIL FILTER and LARGE GREASE TRAY: Oil filter is fold-able and removable so it can be easily cleaned. Over-sized oil cup design features a larger accommodating space that requires cleaning less frequently.

I can now give a review after owing this hood for almost a year.This is a great hood with very decent suction. You can feel and see the suction power more powerful than any traditional hood. Easy to clean design. The aesthetic has a wow factor but I wonder how much of it is done for practicality vs. purely aesthetic. It is also super quiet compare to other hood.The installation is not a huge pain, but it does take a while and at least 2 person.This is an expensive hood, I would consider it high-end almost. But you can definitely feel the difference in suction power compare to the traditional hoods, and this is a deal breaker for me. Combined with the unique aesthetic, modernized glass body, and human-friendly button interface, I think it is a great purchase (given that it will last me a decade or more).

If you're an Asian family struggling to vent fumes and smoke through existing household hoods then this is the product for you. I also run restaurants with commercial ventilation requirements so I know a thing or two on the subject, whether it's cooking or venting. This unit is QUIET for it's performance: It vents well but for those who care - this is achieved through minimal/non-baffled/no-filter system - Which means you can expect accelerated buildup of grease in the duct systems and associated problems in the downstream vent stack eventually. But to be fair I think every one of these hoods I've come across that was designed for Asian households just needs to be this way to work... Fotile just makes it look good while doing the job. The aesthetics is pretty to look at in a home environment and the slanted design recovers a lot of usable room above the cook surfaces by locating the motors in areas where the users are unlikely to reach at. Overall it's a well through out product... with a price point to match (it's not cheap). Bottom line I'm happy with this choice.

It's powerful and works effectively. The metal frame seems vibrating and makes some extra noise, otherwise will have more comfortable noise level. Hope can have more colors to choose.
