  • Yes, this is M35 material, the step drill into the drill or drill press. Determine the hole size you need, and then drill a step drill into the hole until you need the diameter of the hole.

  • step drills work faster and harder than conventional drills. Using a conventional drill is like screwing through. There is no step drill, besides, it needs more oil for a conventional drill.

  • The saw blades are made of M35 steel and require you to make a pilot hole in the 20g steel for the first time. Use Some Lube. It works great! The effect will be better than the performance of ordinary groove more effective.

  • it's made in China. If you want to make it in the United States, it must be more than $69.99. Try buying american-made for $100 or more. You'll have to pay more, but there will be no necessary expenses, and the results will be the same.

  • These are very high quality M35 step drills. I've drilled almost three hundred holes in a variety of materials, from mild steel to various types of steel or wood, and I'm still very sharp!

I had a pipe I was trying to feed through a joist and my original hole was slightly mid-aligned. This bit on a long extension not only widened the hole enough to get through the block, but also ream the end of the pipe that started to mushroom out. I used it a lot. High speed, low speed, improperly, sideways… never broke and hasn’t shown signs of dulling. Since its initial use on some 5/8” pipe, I’ve used it to make some 3/4” holes in some c-channel steel strut and widen some #10 holes to accept some 1/4-20 screws.

I was opening up a 3/4" hole in 1/4" aluminum to 1". It did the job but it wasn't as clean as I would have liked. Perhaps that was the result of my technique (rotational speed, lubricant etc.)

The case it comes in is cool but they’re hard to take out at first. 3 unibits for the price of one name brand is a steal. Sharp as hell out the box absolutely ripped thru the duct work. Highly recommend 💯.
