Runs so good. After rebuilding my old carb twice decided to just replace it. My quad has never ran so good. Just use the normal idle air adjustment. Turn all the way in and then 1 and a half turns out. Running an air fuel mixture gauge and this set it almost perfect (14.7 Stoich) and it runs so smooth. No engine mods all stock. 2001 TRX300FW

This carb is not an exact fit for an 1986 Honda Fourtrax 350 but with mods it works. First you will have to use the provided choke plunger, spring and fitting. It is a different size than the original. The original throttle cable also will not thread into this carb. You can choose to drill the throttle connection on the carb itself with an 11/32 Then tab to a M10x 1.25 or replace the throttle cable with a more modern Honda style cable. I had the taps handy so I drilled and used what I had. The cable from the original is a little bit sloppy but it works. I was able to adjust the cable to work well. For the price it runs great and I can’t complain. The original carb was a better one but it’s almost cheaper just to replace with one of these than mess with a good rebuild kit/ floats. I’m happy with it.

2.5 hours to install. Never did before. Cranked right up. Runs like champ so far. easier to buy a new one then clean the old one for this price. seemed to fit perfect as it all went back together fairly easy with a few common hickups. Ive never done this before, no shop or anything 2.5 hours an was done. Now Ill clean the original one that i have this one on an running. Great price I thought. Gonna be like 450 for carb job in shop, haul in an out. 100 bucks hour mechanic etc. well worth the gamble to see if can do yourself.

works fantastic! Does not fit. The throttle body on the factory OEM is larger and where the cable threads in, way too small! I used a 516 drill bit and drilled out the threads on the new carb then I threaded it with 1/8" NPT. I fit a 1/8"x1-1/4" long brass fitting into my new opening. Then I removed my new piece and proceeded to cut it lengthways to accommodate the cable. It was arduous to say the least but after making the cut and a bit of filing with a small triangle file, i was in business. . I also rethreaded the throttle seat nut. Slid the cable through the nut. Slid my new fitting in and threaded it to allow for perfect setting on the throttle cable. I threaded the nut onto the fitting then; I backed up the nut on the brass fitting and got it about 2 turns onto the 9mm threads on the cable body. Snug.Works fantastic.......................

Overall I was pleased with the product. Install was fairly straightforward with the exception of having to swap a piece from the original carburetor because the electrical connector was incorrect. Engine ran great. Problem is that the carburetor continues to allow fuel into the bowl causing gas to run out of the overflow onto the floor.

This carb replaced my original..Honda year 2000 Rancher TRX 350..You'll notice this carb has a few untapped holes ,and is missing a part that the original carb has...not to worry as it does not affect performance.Next,the heater plug does not match the original,but it's an easy splice to use your original plug.Installation is easy,but that's a Honda for you...just take your time and replace it methodically.One thing you must be aware of....the idle mixture screw can be way out of adjustment...mine was.So....before you install your carb,start by gently turning in the idle mixture screw until it " bottoms" ( do not force)..and then turn it back out 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 turns.Start there.It's a pain to adjust when it's installed because you'll need a very short slotted screwdriver.My machine ran perfectly with this carburator..and I still can't believe it.$40 something compared to 10x that at the dealer.To be clear,my old carb leaked into the engine and I couldn't stop it.Even after a rebuild...I suspect ethonal ruined it.Update...when I said to start the idle mixture screw at 1 1/4 to 1 1/2...that's usually correct,however with this carburator, that did not work as it resulted in a rich mixture which gave me fouled spark plugs...so in effect when I " bottomed" the screw it really wasn't.The reason is that the tension spring on the screw is too long..preventing a "true " bottoming .So,I shortened the spring and that solved the problem.You may not have an issue,bit if you do,shorten the spring by about %15.

Bought for a 1987 trx 350. It's different than the one that was on there. Where the fuel hose connects was on the opposite side of where the fuel pump is (the old carbs have it on the same side) so I had to get a longer hose and I had to shorten my throttle cable a bit for it to work for some reason but other than that the carb works great
